Logistical support for SSST coordinators

PACKAGE A - Logistical support for the SSST coordinator

MIH Unlimited supports the SSST coordinator in the daily administration and implementation of the SSST program and helps ensure that the journey for the SSST students as well as the SSST coordinator is a successful one.  We help the SSST coordinator with managing all the tasks and deadlines that govern this course.

Package A is geared towards SSST coordinators who
  • are short on time
  • have limited or no experience with the SSST program
  • have a very small number of SSST students and don't have the human resource to monitor the SSST program
  • outsource the SSST course to parents and students
  • would like the reassurance of an experienced SSST team behind them


Package A supports the SSST coordinator with
  • raising awareness of the SSST mother tongue provision in the school community
  • the registration of SSST candidates
  • setting up a program of studies
  • a discussion on one-year versus two-year course option
  • the Special Request languages application
  • an overview and reminders of all IB deadlines
  • support with submitting student work on IBIS
  • the preparation and logistics of the Individual Oral
  • a provision of templates for the Individual Oral
  • SSST-related communication with the IB (through the IB coordinator)
  • providing a liaison between the students, the parents, the school and the SSST tutor​
